Assistant Professors Ned Spang and Christopher Simmons were recently awarded a grant for $3.16M from the California Energy Commission for the project "Demonstrating the Potential for On-Site Electricity Generation from Food Waste Using Containerized Anaerobic Digestion Units".

Four researchers were invited by the Southern California Institute of Food Technologists to give presentations at the Natural Foods Expo in Los Angeles in March.

Dr. Bamforth was on the local PBS television show on March 24.
