The Lab Assistant II will assist with harvest operations for the 2016 season at the Teaching and Research Winery. Our team is focused on supporting the teaching and research needs of the faculty, staff and students of the Department of Viticulture and Enology. In any given season, we will process up to one hundred tons of fruit. There could be as many as 400 individual fermentations. The successful candidate will participate in laboratory, crush pad and general wine processing operations. A successful candidate will need to be able to learn quickly and work independently after initial training. The successful candidate must also have an interest in participating as a team member in multidisciplinary winemaking projects. Daily contact with faculty, department/university staff, students, vendors and the general public is expected for this position
