The Marco lab recently released two publications. "Lactobacillus casei Low-Temperature, Dairy-Associated Proteome Promotes Persistence in the Mammalian Digestive Tract" and "Attenuation of colitis by Lactobacillus casei BL23 is dependent on the dairy delivery matrix". 

Both have generated a buzz of interest from local media and beyond. UC Davis' Egghead blog released an article about them called "Dairy products boost effectiveness of probiotics, new studies show". 

The Davis Enterprise's story was called "UCD study: Dairy products boost effectiveness of probiotics". 

One of the papers will be spotlighted in the journal as well as in the monthly periodical for the American Society for Microbiology.
