Dr. Carl Winter, Extension Food Toxicologist and Vice Chair of the Department, recently published his paper "Presenting Food Science Effectively" in the Journal of Food Science Education. The paper provides an anecdotal first-hand account of best presentation practices based upon Dr. Winter's ten years of experience teaching communication skills to first-year students in the Food Science Graduate Group. Dr. Winter will be providing presentations on the topic for UC Davis students affiliated with the Seed Central program on April 9 and in Chicago on April 15 for the Institute of Food Technologists Student Association Food Communicators Workshop.
