For several years, OLLI students have seen OLLI volunteers at many of the classes, quietly filming the instructor and the class. Now their work has come to fruition. OLLI classes on DVD are now available for check out at the Yolo County Library in Davis, 315 E. 14th St.
On Saturday, Sept. 14, from 10 a.m.-4 p.m., the library will host an open house to showcase its extraordinary new DVD video collectionwhich includes favorite OLLI classes from 2008-2012. OLLI representatives will be on hand to answer questions. Some of the instructors will be there to comment on their videos, which will be shown in half-hour sessions as follows:
Romain Nelsen 10 a.m.
Barbara Drushell 11 a.m.
Germaine Hupe 1 p.m.
Other DVDs will be shown throughout the day.
These DVDs were produced by the combined efforts of our OLLI audiovisual crewBill Lorfing, Dick Warg and Paul Tarczy. Romain Nelsen was instrumental in bringing the DVDs to the Davis Library and to our local Davis Community Television to preserve these unique presentations. Many thanks for all their hard work and dedication.
We hope to see you at the open house. Dont forget your library card!
